This position involves handling homeowners, commercial, and large loss claims from natural disasters and/or weather-related events. You will be the first point of contact to meet with our insureds, explain coverage, estimate damages, and guide them through the claims process while providing exceptional service.
As a deployed claims adjuster, you will travel extensively throughout the U.S. with our Weather Catastrophe Claims Services (WCCS) team. You will be required to reside in or relocate to specific states, including AL, AR, CO, North-FL, GA, IA, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MD, MI, MN, MS, MO, NC, NE, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, VA, WI, and WV.
Key Responsibilities:
* Meet with insureds to explain coverage and estimate damages
* Handle homeowners, commercial, and large loss claims from natural disasters and/or weather-related events
* Provide exceptional service and guidance throughout the claims process
* Travel extensively throughout the U.S. with the WCCS team
Requirements:
* Excellent customer service and decision-making skills
* Physical agility to perform tasks such as walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, squatting, and climbing a ladder
* Ability to utilize equipment in accordance with safety guidelines to traverse roofs at various heights and pitches
* Valid driver's license
Preferred Skills:
* Xactimate, XactContents
* Relevant claims adjusting experience and/or construction background
* Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
State Farm offers a competitive Total Rewards package, including a starting salary of $59,230.63 annually, $29.31/hr - $39.32/hr, and opportunities for annual bonuses, merit increases, and tuition assistance.
