$20.07 - $24.58 per hour, plus additional shift differentials up to $1.25 per hour.
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Support Specialist to join our team. As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will assist clients with Inpatient Services while maintaining a safe and therapeutic work environment. You will also assist clients in meeting their daily basic needs for health and safety.
Responsibilities
- Take appropriate measures to meet the client's daily basic needs for health and safety, including preparing and serving meals, conducting safety checks of the units, monitoring clients according to the assigned levels of observation, providing transportation as directed by a supervisor, assisting in maintaining a clean work environment, and assisting in maintaining a sufficient inventory of food and non-food items.
- Complete all required electronic and paper charting, documentation, and data entry of clients as outlined in the appropriate KMHS guidelines, manuals, policies, and procedures.
- Participate in clinical activities as directed by a supervisor, including facilitating approved group activities, conducting ongoing observation and assessment of the client's mental status during each shift, recording client nutritional intake, sleep, and vitals, running treatment groups on shift, taking referrals appropriately, following specific behavioral protocols for clients as directed by a supervisor, and completing all paperwork involved in providing direct client care.
Qualifications
- 1 year of work experience in customer service, social services, or behavioral health.
- Valid Washington Food Handler card.
- Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration (can be obtained after hire).
