Mental Health Support Specialist

**Job Overview:**
Kitsap Mental Health Services (KMHS) is seeking a qualified Mental Health Support Specialist to join our Adult Inpatient Unit (AIU) team.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our adult clients while supporting their treatment objectives. As a Mental Health Support Specialist, you will be responsible for monitoring client behaviors and activities, maintaining a clean and organized environment, implementing treatment plans under the guidance of the treatment team, and accurately documenting client interactions and observations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor client behaviors and activities to ensure their safety within the AIU.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment per unit protocols.
- Implement treatment plans under the guidance of the treatment team.
- Accurately document client interactions and observations using electronic and paper charting systems.
- Collaborate with fellow staff members to provide comprehensive care to clients.
Requirements:
- 1 year of experience in customer service, social services, or behavioral health.
- Valid Washington Food Handler card.
- Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience working with clients with severe and persistent mental illness.
- Capacity to work well with children and families.
