Your Responsibilities

In this essential position, you will serve as the primary point of contact for our clients, delivering in-depth clinical insights regarding our offerings to healthcare professionals.

Amgen's therapies address critical health challenges, and our innovative research targets conditions with limited treatment alternatives. We are on the lookout for a Senior Oncology Specialist to uphold our dedication to patient care.

As a Senior Oncology Specialist, your role will involve:

  • Acting as the main customer liaison, conveying comprehensive clinical knowledge of Amgen's products and articulating their clinical and economic advantages to medical practitioners.
  • Developing and implementing a detailed territory strategy, which encompasses delivering impactful sales presentations, executing planned initiatives, organizing and following up on educational medical programs, and meeting or surpassing sales objectives.
  • Leveraging both internal and external networks to manage accounts effectively, ensuring product accessibility, addressing reimbursement challenges, and upholding product agreements.
  • Formulating a strategic marketing approach to enhance sales performance.
  • Evaluating the success of sales initiatives and conducting territory assessments, collaborating with your District Manager to refine territory strategies.
  • Maintaining a deep-seated passion for our products throughout the sales process, while consistently promoting our brand and prioritizing patient service.

What We Expect From You

A Bachelor's degree along with a minimum of 3 years of sales experience, OR an Associate degree with 6 years of sales experience, OR a High school diploma/GED with 8 years of sales experience.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Three or more years of experience in sales and/or marketing within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or medical device sectors.
  • Experience in product or hospital sales, particularly in oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, and inflammation.
  • Familiarity with local market dynamics.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration.
