Job Overview

LivINN Hotels Maplewood is seeking a dedicated individual for the role of Night Auditor. This part-time position requires availability on Friday and Saturday nights from 11 PM to 7 AM, with the possibility of additional shifts on 1-2 weekdays from 3 PM to 11 PM.

Compensation: Starting pay is $16.25 per hour, with a shift differential for overnight hours.

Key Responsibilities

The Night Auditor will manage front desk operations and provide assistance to guests with inquiries during their stay, including check-in and check-out processes. Responsibilities include:

  • Efficiently handling front desk operations to minimize check-in and check-out times.
  • Welcoming guests in a warm and professional manner.
  • Utilizing scripts for answering reservation inquiries.
  • Addressing guest requests with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and order in the lobby and common areas.
  • Staying informed about hotel policies, room rates, discounts, and local events.
  • Being knowledgeable about local attractions and hotel services.
  • Completing additional duties as assigned.
  • Participating in required meetings and training sessions.
  • Adhering to the company dress code and hygiene standards.
  • Ensuring customer confidentiality and key security.
  • Completing shift responsibilities as per the checklist.
  • Balancing the cash drawer accurately at the end of each shift.
  • Processing credit card settlements and handling no-show reservations.
  • Conducting night audit processes and ensuring timely delivery of final bills to guests.
Qualifications

Applicants should possess the following skills and abilities:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills, particularly in challenging situations.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with the local area, capable of providing directions and information about attractions.
Education and Experience

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Candidates must be able to pass a background check.

Physical Requirements

The role requires:

  • Prolonged periods of standing at the front desk and performing laundry duties.
  • The ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • A willingness to work varying shift lengths based on seasonal demands.
