Job Overview

LivINN Hotels Maplewood is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Night Auditor to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring a smooth operation during the night shift.

Work Schedule: Friday and Saturday nights from 11 PM to 7 AM, with an additional 1-2 days from 3 PM to 11 PM each week.

Compensation: Starting pay is $16.25 per hour, with a shift differential for overnight hours.

Key Responsibilities

The Front Desk Clerk/Night Auditor will:

  • Efficiently manage front desk operations, ensuring prompt check-in and check-out for guests.
  • Provide a warm and professional welcome to all visitors.
  • Utilize a script for handling reservation inquiries via phone.
  • Address guest requests with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the lobby and common areas.
  • Stay informed about hotel policies, including room rates, discounts, and local events.
  • Be knowledgeable about local attractions and hotel services.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Attend required meetings and training sessions.
  • Adhere to the company dress code and hygiene standards.
  • Safeguard guest confidentiality and ensure key security.
  • Complete shift responsibilities as outlined in the checklist.
  • Accurately balance the cash drawer at the end of each shift.
  • Process credit card settlements and manage no-show reservations during the night audit.
  • Deliver final bills to guests promptly.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service abilities, particularly in challenging situations.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with the local area, including the ability to provide directions to attractions.
Education and Experience

Preferred qualifications include:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
Physical Requirements

Candidates should be prepared for:

  • Extended periods of standing at the front desk and performing laundry duties.
  • The ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Flexibility to work varying shift lengths based on seasonal demands.
