Position Overview: RN Charge Med Surg Full Time Nights
This role involves overseeing functions and activities within a specific departmental area. The position is accountable for managing a clinical unit and coordinating the scheduling of unit RNs. You will serve as a key liaison for both internal and external stakeholders, including pre-hospital providers, medical and nursing staff, and hospital administration. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing and executing plans to meet regulatory standards and for training and mentoring staff.
Essential Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication abilities are vital. You should be capable of implementing changes effectively and managing departmental budgets. The ability to make independent decisions in high-pressure situations is essential.
Qualifications:
- Minimum: Nursing degree from an accredited institution and two years of relevant clinical nursing experience.
- Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and two years of supervisory experience. Certification in a specialty area is also preferred.
Required Certifications: ACLS certification is required upon completion of orientation for those in ER, ICU, Endoscopy, Telemetry, Cardiac Cath Lab, and Labor & Delivery.
