Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the project management team in evaluating and overseeing construction expenses and profitability for various projects.
  • Develop and oversee a comprehensive cost management system that accurately tracks expenses and production discrepancies, facilitating precise forecasting of financial outcomes.
  • Collaborate with corporate colleagues to foster ongoing enhancements in cost efficiency, processes, and systems, ensuring uniformity in cost management practices across the organization.
  • Engage in negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers to optimize value, quality, and delivery for the organization and our clients.
  • Maintain and update cost and pricing data for all ongoing and upcoming projects.
  • Estimate costs for new project designs and service offerings as part of the strategic business framework.
  • Analyze plans for standardization of components, options, and construction methodologies.
  • Establish and uphold an effective scheduling system.
  • Be prepared to assist on-site as necessary and demonstrate a willingness to engage in hands-on tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in construction cost analysis and planning with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong skills in budgeting and estimating, with experience in contract negotiations and securing support for cost-effective solutions.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities; adaptability is essential.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
  • Experience in new construction projects is essential.
  • Physical capability to lift and maneuver a minimum of 30 pounds, and perform various physical tasks as needed.
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License.
