Job Summary:

The Assistant General Manager at Holiday Inn is responsible for overseeing all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring seamless guest experiences, and providing support to the General Manager. This role requires strong leadership skills, effective communication, and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the General Manager in day-to-day operations, including managing hotel staff, coordinating activities, and ensuring compliance with hotel policies and procedures.
  • Direct and coordinate hotel activities to achieve optimum efficiency and economy of operations, while maximizing guest satisfaction and employee engagement.
  • Monitor guest feedback, respond to complaints, and implement service recovery processes to maintain high guest satisfaction levels.
  • Assist in the selection and training of hotel staff, ensuring they meet the highest standards of service and quality.
  • Maintain accurate records, including cash flow statements, guest floor limits, and AR aging reports, to ensure financial transparency and accountability.
  • Participate in morning meetings, conduct HOD meetings, and maintain open communication with hotel staff to ensure effective teamwork and collaboration.
  • Ensure compliance with franchise and company procedures, standard operating procedures, and service standards to maintain high-quality service and guest satisfaction.
  • Build owner loyalty through proactive communication, setting and managing expectations, and delivering solid business results.
  • Assist the General Manager in key property issues, including capital projects, customer service, and refurbishment.

Requirements:

  • At least 5-10 years of experience in the hospitality industry, with significant luxury and international experience.
  • 3-4 years of experience as an Assistant General Manager or Executive Assistant Manager.
  • Strong management skills, ability to assign or delegate work, and provide coaching, advice, and assistance as required.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a stressful environment, communicate well with others, and accept constructive criticism from supervisors.
