Position Overview:

Job Title: Desktop Support Technician

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and maintain organizational computer systems, desktops, and peripherals.
  • Perform imaging, installation, diagnosis, repair, maintenance, and upgrades of all organizational hardware and equipment to ensure optimal workstation performance.
  • Provide timely and accurate troubleshooting for problem areas, whether in person, via telephone, or through incident tickets, and assist end-users as needed.

Key Qualifications:

  • Proficient in computer software, operating systems, hardware, and networking.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Able to work collaboratively in a team and independently.
  • Experience in configuring (imaging) laptops and desktops (SCCM imaging using thumb drives).
  • Skilled in repairing and troubleshooting laptops, desktops, monitors, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Ability to resolve Wi-Fi and VPN connection issues.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to providing professional and courteous customer service.

Essential Skills:

  • Familiarity with tools such as Service Now, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in an IT-related field such as computer science, technical support, or information technology.
  • A+ certification in computer technology is advantageous.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in supporting end-user desktops, laptops, and operating systems or a similar role in an IT-related position.

Compensation: The salary for this position ranges from $35,000 to $40,000 annually, influenced by factors such as geography, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
