Facilities Maintenance Lead

Tarkett is in search of a Facilities Maintenance Lead to collaborate with the site maintenance director and plant manager in overseeing the daily operations of the maintenance team. This role is crucial for the effective planning, execution, and monitoring of preventive and predictive maintenance tasks, ensuring that projects and work orders are efficiently managed, while also supervising WCM PM Pillar initiatives and contracted services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct the allocation and management of daily corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance work orders across all shifts.
  • Assist the site maintenance director in strategizing significant maintenance projects, including predictive maintenance tasks, budget considerations, and scheduled downtimes. Ensure the availability of necessary parts, labor, and work instructions for these activities.
  • Engage with suppliers and external contractors for parts, materials, labor assistance, and information to empower the Maintenance Department in supporting production needs.
  • Provide ongoing feedback to team members regarding their job performance and achievement of objectives. Address performance issues by implementing disciplinary measures in accordance with Tarkett's policy handbook.
  • Supervise maintenance and repair work conducted by external contractors, ensuring adherence to Tarkett's safety and environmental standards.
  • Compile and present departmental information, key performance indicators (KPIs), and historical data to assist management in decision-making.
  • Fulfill necessary managerial responsibilities in the absence of the maintenance director.
  • Conduct machine repairs as required to facilitate production processes.
  • Develop preventive maintenance schedules, manage spare part inventories, and maintain the technical information library for both existing and new equipment, including the removal of items during equipment decommissioning.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and maintenance teams to analyze equipment downtime using root cause analysis tools, and establish sustainable preventive and predictive systems to mitigate recurring downtime.
Qualifications:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated experience in maintenance-related roles.
  • Experience in maintenance material procurement and working with various suppliers and vendors.
  • Associate's degree preferred, or a minimum of 5 years of proven experience in a related field.
  • Physical capability to lift 40 lbs, and perform bending and climbing tasks.
  • Familiarity with SAP, MVP, or related Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse teams, including Maintenance Technicians, Managers, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Purchasing.
