The Mold Maintenance Technician will play a crucial role in the maintenance and servicing of tools and molds utilized in plastic injection molding processes. This position involves the meticulous removal, replacement, disassembly, and reassembly of various tools and molds to ensure optimal performance and product quality. The technician will effectively utilize a range of hand and power tools, operate overhead cranes, and troubleshoot robotic systems as necessary.
Key Responsibilities- Perform disassembly and reassembly of molds and tools.
- Conduct routine cleaning and maintenance of equipment.
- Utilize hand and power tools with proficiency.
- Operate overhead cranes safely and efficiently.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with robotic systems.
- Engage in preventative maintenance practices.
- Proficient in the use of hand and power tools.
- Experience in mold and die setting.
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance techniques.
- Familiarity with robotics is advantageous.
- Ability to operate overhead cranes.
- Experience in metal fabrication or welding is a plus.
- Background in mold, tool, or die maintenance.
This is a Contract-to-Hire role with an expected duration of 6 months.
Work EnvironmentThis position is fully on-site. The work environment is maintained to be clean, with some climate control, although it may become warm during peak summer months. The role may involve both preventative and reactive maintenance tasks, particularly for candidates with extensive experience.
CompensationPay Rate: $23-$27/hr for Preventative Maintenance Technicians
Pay Rate: $30-$38/hr for experienced mold/tool/die maintenance professionals
2nd Shift: 2:00 PM to approximately midnight
3rd Shift: 10:00 PM to approximately 8:00 AM
Expect to work 55-60 hours per week for the initial 3-4 months, transitioning to approximately 45-50 hours thereafter.
