OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION:
The primary responsibility is to perform maintenance on industrial facilities and equipment, as well as fabricate components as required, while supporting additional tasks as directed by the supervisor.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
- Proficient in reading, writing, and effective communication.
- Capable of performing physically demanding tasks.
- Experienced in welding techniques including Arc, MIG, and TIG.
- Knowledgeable in the use of cutting tools such as Oxy/Acetylene and Plasma torches.
- Basic mathematical skills are necessary.
- Ability to accurately read measurements using a micrometer to .001 and a tape measure to 1/32.
- Open to guidance from senior mechanics and management.
- Strong mechanical aptitude is essential.
- Competent in general maintenance tasks including plumbing, HVAC, and electrical work.
- Flexibility in work hours is required, with frequent overtime.
- Willingness to acquire new maintenance skills.
- Possession of adequate quality tools for job completion.
- No written disciplinary actions in the past six months.
- High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working at heights using ladders and mobile lift equipment.
- Electrical experience is preferred.
- Capability to read and interpret technical blueprints and schematics is advantageous.
- Experience with Yarn Mill machinery is a plus.
