Position Overview: The Facility Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and directing the activities of the maintenance team. This role involves planning and managing daily tasks, as well as scheduling emergency, corrective, and preventive maintenance work orders. The supervisor ensures that all equipment and systems are installed and maintained according to industry standards, regulatory guidelines, and best practices.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and direction to the maintenance staff, ensuring effective team performance.
  • Guarantee that all equipment and systems are maintained in optimal working condition.
  • Ensure that quality standards are upheld when addressing work orders.
  • Maintain accurate records of work orders and submit daily productivity reports.
  • Oversee the technical library and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Manage inventory levels of supplies and spare parts, notifying management when reorders are necessary.
  • Promote a safe and organized work environment, ensuring that all areas are clean and compliant.
  • Plan and supervise emergency and preventive maintenance activities.
  • Train staff on safety protocols and emergency procedures.
  • Monitor financial activities and manage expenses effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
  • Analyze work order data to identify trends and implement process improvements.
  • Participate in risk assessments and ensure action plans are executed.
  • Provide oversight for fire safety systems and ensure compliance with testing requirements.
  • Develop and implement performance improvement plans.
  • Actively engage in departmental committees and initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Technical school graduate or equivalent experience in facility operations.
  • Five years of experience in a supervisory role within a maintenance environment.
  • Licensure in one of the following trades: Electrical, HVAC, or Plumbing is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Knowledge of healthcare facility operations and relevant compliance standards.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team.
