Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

Essential duties include:

  • Setting up and maintaining the pool area according to company and property standards.
  • Proactively enhancing the pool environment for residents and guests.
  • Welcoming residents and assisting them with amenities such as lounge covers, towels, and umbrellas.
  • Managing the department's schedule and leading the team to meet company expectations.
  • Ensuring proper utilization of amenities including water, cold towels, ice buckets, and sunscreen.
  • Monitoring compliance with Association Rules and Regulations.
  • Reporting maintenance issues promptly to the Supervisor.
  • Collaborating with the Maintenance Supervisor to maintain beach equipment.
  • Removing soiled towels and trash from the area.
  • Organizing and maintaining the pool area, including furniture and equipment.
  • Completing daily checklists to ensure all tasks are performed.
Work Environment

This role is primarily outdoors, situated in a beach and pool setting with a moderate noise level.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands of this position include:

  • Occasional sitting, standing, reaching, lifting, bending, kneeling, stooping, climbing, pushing, and pulling items weighing 25 pounds or less.
  • Manual dexterity, auditory and visual skills, and the ability to follow both written and oral instructions.
  • Long periods of standing and walking, as well as outdoor work.
Position Type and Hours

This is a non-exempt (hourly) position. Workdays and hours will be determined by the property, with flexibility to accommodate business needs.

Qualifications

Required qualifications include:

  • Prior experience in a similar role, preferably in a luxury property or hotel.
  • Experience in managing a team.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Able to thrive in a busy, luxury, and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and guests.
  • A positive and proactive attitude, especially in high-pressure situations.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize tasks, and follow instructions.
