Assist Ambulance is seeking both seasoned and newly certified Paramedics to work full-time and part-time. We are a prominent New York City EMS provider, delivering comprehensive emergency medical and transportation services across the five boroughs. With a legacy of over 30 years, we are dedicated to serving the diverse communities of NYC.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hold a valid NY State EMT-P certification; NYC REMAC - NREMT certification is not sufficient on its own.
  • Newly certified Paramedics are encouraged to apply, provided they are fully certified at the time of application.
  • Applicants must be at least 20 years old and possess a minimum of one year of driving experience in New York City.
  • A valid, clean NYS D Class driver's license is required; DJ licenses are not accepted.
  • Candidates must demonstrate physical capability to lift 125 lbs. in compliance with NYS DOH standards and successfully complete a lifting assessment.
  • Must obtain 19A physical clearance and a negative PPD test (vouchers will be provided).
  • Pass a 10-panel drug screening, including THC, adhering to our strict no-tolerance policy.
  • Commit to a minimum of two 8-hour shifts per week, maintaining consistent scheduling.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to remain composed under pressure.
  • Criminal history will be reviewed in accordance with the New York City Fair Chance Act.
