Pafford Emergency Medical Services is looking for committed individuals to join our Logistics team within the Special Response Unit.

In this position, you will be deployed to regions affected by natural disasters, public health crises, and other emergencies, aiding both State and Federal responses.

Potential deployments may occur within the continental United States, its territories, and internationally.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to disaster-stricken areas across the United States and its territories, with opportunities for international assignments.
  • Execute on-site logistical operations for teams delivering medical assistance during and after emergencies.
  • Facilitate the transportation of supplies and personnel.
  • Collaborate with various response teams and organizations to ensure a unified and effective disaster response.
  • Adjust to rapidly evolving environments and work conditions.
  • Safeguard and manage medical equipment and supplies.

Skills/Education/Other Requirements:

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Proven experience in providing logistical support during emergencies.
  • Possess a valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Hazmat Awareness certification.
  • Completion of FEMA ICS 100, 200, 700 & 800 courses.
  • Passport is preferred.
  • Willingness to work in diverse environmental conditions, including challenging locations.

Conditions of Employment:

This is a per diem/casual role with W-2 employment status. Compensation rates will be discussed during activation for disaster response. Candidates will have the choice to accept or decline deployment based on the proposed rates and conditions.

Successful candidates must pass a post-offer, pre-employment physical examination, criminal background check, and drug screening in line with federal regulations.

Vaccination records may be required based on deployment criteria.

It is essential to maintain all certifications and licenses throughout the duration of employment.
