Key Responsibilities
- Generate purchase orders to procure materials that align with the organization's quality and quantity standards.
- Utilize MRP systems effectively and maintain essential master data and planning parameters.
- Monitor material inventory levels and replenish stock to support operations.
- Manage open purchase orders, liaising with vendors to address any production-impacting delays.
- Analyze market trends and supplier lead times, adjusting planning parameters accordingly.
- Review historical demand and sales forecasts to optimize re-order points.
- Establish effective communication channels with Logistics, Quality, Marketing, Sales, Receiving, and Manufacturing teams.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance to resolve supplier-related quality issues.
- Work towards minimizing on-hand inventory while ensuring manufacturing needs are met.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with supplier disruptions and develop contingency plans.
- Support new product launches by managing initial orders and monitoring demand.
- Process orders for non-inventory items as necessary.
- Negotiate costs and delivery terms with vendors to achieve cost savings.
- Assist accounts payable to ensure timely and accurate processing of payables.
- Work with sales and marketing to integrate market intelligence into sales forecasts.
- Promote a safe workplace by adhering to safety policies and participating in training.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.

- Adept at managing multiple priorities simultaneously.

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant sourcing experience in a manufacturing context.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with automated MRP systems.
- Strong communication skills.
- Willingness to travel as necessary.
