SNI Companies is seeking a highly skilled Medical Office Coordinator to join our team in Mercer County, NJ. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical practice.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday 9:30am-6pm and one Saturday 8am-12pm every 7-8 weeks. You will be responsible for scheduling patients' appointments accurately and efficiently, answering multiple telephone calls daily, and supporting the Lead in achieving departmental standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Expediting patient care by scheduling appointments accurately and efficiently.
  • Answering 50+ telephone calls in the scheduling queue daily.
  • Supporting the Lead in achieving departmental standards for wait times, work times, and abandonment rate.
  • Verifying insurance contract requirements when scheduling exams and reminding patients of these requirements.
  • Verifying patient demographic information.
  • Scheduling exams for the proper modality, time, machine, and Radiologist.
  • Effectively explaining preps to patients, using terms they can understand.
  • Verifying patient understanding of prep instructions.
  • Providing backup to scheduling clerical support responsibilities.
  • Interfacing with the Lead regarding departmental concerns.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration or related field.
  • 1+ years of experience in a medical office setting.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
