Med-Scribe, Inc. is a professional staffing and recruiting firm specializing in administrative and clinical healthcare placements.

We have partnered with a team dedicated to providing innovative treatment options for depression. Their client specializes in treating depression using advanced, non-drug therapies such as Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and Ketamine nasal spray. These treatments are designed to provide relief where traditional medications and therapies fall short.

This is a temp-to-hire position in a unique, small-practice setting. The successful candidate will provide care and hope to those navigating the challenges of major depression.

The role combines front-desk responsibilities (80%) with medical assisting duties (20%). Key aspects include:

  • Patient check-in and check-out.
  • Collecting copays and handling phone calls.
  • Managing prescription requests through EMR system.
  • Verifying insurance coverage using built-in software tools and conducting necessary follow-ups.

Additionally, the medical assistant duties involve:

  • Monitoring patients during treatments.
  • Taking vitals (primarily blood pressure) before and during treatment sessions.
  • Providing attentive care to ensure patient comfort, responding to patient needs with professionalism.

The schedule is full-time, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Benefits include Health insurance, PTO, NYS sick leave, and vacation time.

The estimated salary for this position is between $16/hour to $22/hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
