Job Summary:

Presents and educates on health education programs and services, including coordinating and delivering trainings or other educational encounters, assisting in maintaining and updating educational and training resources, and helping to collect and analyze data from classes and programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Pursues effective relationships with others by sharing resources, information, and knowledge with coworkers and members.
  • Develops and delivers comprehensive health education classes covering a wide range of topics, including weight management, heart health, diabetes, nutrition, exercise and fitness, mental health/wellness, improving sleep, pregnancy and newborn care, healthy children, healthy aging, quit smoking/vaping, cancer, and kidney disease.
  • Customizes educational materials and curriculum to meet the diverse needs of patients, ensuring accessibility and relevance.
  • Utilizes interactive teaching methods and innovative approaches to engage participants and foster behavior change.
  • Provides individualized guidance and support to participants, addressing their specific health concerns and goals.
  • Evaluates program effectiveness through data collection and analysis, adjusting as needed to improve outcomes.
  • Stays informed about current research and best practices in health education, continuously enhancing knowledge and skills.
Requirements:

Assesses and responds to individual needs of trainees, both from a classroom perspective and a broader population perspective.

Develops and maintains relationships with community partners and stakeholders to promote health education programs and services.

Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement health education programs and services that meet the diverse needs of patients.

Utilizes data and research to inform health education program development and implementation.

Develops and maintains educational materials and resources to support health education programs and services.

Provides training and support to staff and community partners on health education topics and best practices.

Stays up-to-date on current research and best practices in health education, continuously enhancing knowledge and skills.
