Nurse Educator Specialist

The Grady Health System seeks a highly skilled Educational Nurse Specialist to design, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing staff development, orientation, and continuing education activities. This role is responsible for achieving staff competency and quality patient outcomes. The successful candidate will complete special projects related to performance improvement activities and evaluation of current practice or equipment. Additionally, they will contribute to the revision and creation of policies, procedures, and protocols as applicable.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and implement nursing staff development programs to enhance staff competency and quality patient outcomes
• Develop and deliver educational content to nursing staff, including orientation and continuing education activities
• Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and make recommendations for improvement
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement performance improvement projects
• Contribute to the revision and creation of policies, procedures, and protocols as applicable
Requirements
• Current Georgia License as a Registered Professional Nurse
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree required
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support Health Care Provider Card required
• AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, and/or NRP Instructor certification preferred
• Five (5) years of clinical experience with additional experience in education and training
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office required
• Knowledge of audiovisual equipment set-up an advantage
