Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse - Specialty to join our team at the University of Miami. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide patient-centered care in a culturally competent manner, utilizing evidence-based standards of quality, safety, and service.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and evaluate patients, developing and implementing individualized care plans.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Administer medications and treatments, maintaining accurate records and adhering to regulatory guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Participate in discharge planning, utilizing available resources to support patient needs.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families, promoting health and wellness.
  • Adhere to University and unit-level policies and procedures, safeguarding University assets.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, Bachelor's degree (BSN) preferred.
  • Valid Florida Registered Nurse License, ACLS, BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience.
