Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Department of Oncology at the University of Miami. As a Per Diem Registered Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the delivery of high-quality healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and evaluate patients, developing and implementing individualized care plans to meet their unique needs.
  • Administer medications and treatments, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families, promoting health literacy and empowering them to take an active role in their care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, Bachelor's degree (BSN) preferred.
  • Valid Florida Registered Nurse License, BLS/ACLS certification required.
  • Oncology Nurse Society Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Administration Guidelines provider course required.
  • Oncology certified (OCN) preferred.
  • Two (2) years of Oncology experience, with recent experience in administering chemotherapy and biotherapy agents required.
