Role Overview

We are seeking a Director of Mid-Market Sales to lead and develop a team of Sales Managers and Account Executives. This role will have a direct impact on the growth of the Mid-Market team, including recruiting, onboarding, training, and development. The successful candidate will be an integral part of Rippling's growth and will report to our VP of Mid-Market Sales.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a team of Sales Managers and Account Executives
  • Assist the team in understanding customer needs and mapping them to Rippling's value proposition
  • Drive sales performance, including activity, pipelines, monthly forecasts, and closed deals
  • Regularly report on team and individual results through pipeline management and forecasting
  • Identify and recommend improvements in process, efficiency, and productivity
  • Lead the Mid-Market team to achieve and exceed monthly targets
  • Participate in the hiring process and training of new team members
Requirements
  • High energy and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience selling into high-velocity organizations with deal cycles less than 6 months
  • Experience selling strategic deals with an ACV of $25k-$250k
  • Experience as a 2nd-line leader
  • Track record of success in similar roles at other SaaS companies with high growth and a fast-moving environment
  • Open mind and willingness to collaborate and think from first principles

This role will receive a competitive On-Target Earnings (base salary + sales commission) + benefits + equity. The On-Target Earnings* for US-based employees will be 50/50 commission split for base/variable pay, and aligned with one of the ranges below based on location; see which tier applies to your location here.

A variety of factors are considered when determining someone's compensation-including a candidate's professional background, experience, and location. Final offer amounts may vary from the amounts listed below.

The pay range for this role is: $340,000 - $360,000 USD per year (Tier 1)
