Job Overview

The Automotive Sales Consultant is responsible for fostering and nurturing sales relationships across various automotive dealer brands and channels within designated accounts or territories to meet sales and profitability objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets within the automotive dealer sector in assigned territories.
  • Identify and cultivate business opportunities within the automotive dealer channel in designated accounts.
  • Provide training to dealership staff on sales strategies, manufacturer programs, and product knowledge to maximize program incentives and financial outcomes.
  • Coordinate training sessions, promotional events, and collaborative activities with customers at various levels.
  • Enhance TireHub's presence in all program point of sale systems and manufacturer portals across all brands.
  • Oversee and communicate manufacturer sales incentive programs to dealership decision-makers to drive program engagement.
  • Utilize interpersonal skills to engage in consultative selling, identifying customer needs and proposing effective solutions.
  • Performance metrics will include sales results, new customer activations, year-over-year growth, margin performance, and other key performance indicators.
  • Engage with various management levels to ensure alignment and communication.
  • Achieve assigned volume, margin, and budget objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Product Assortment Manager to optimize local market inventory.
  • Support expansion efforts and new market initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with TLC staff, Pricing, Shareholder contacts, Operations, Credit, and Accounts Receivable.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of sales experience.
  • Experience in the automotive dealer industry is preferred.
  • A Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license is required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Understanding of automotive dealer and OE channels and market strategies.
  • Familiarity with manufacturer programs.
  • Expertise in relationship-building strategies for key customers.
  • Comprehensive product and industry knowledge.
  • Willingness to travel 40-70% of the time.
