Provider Enrollment Specialist PRN

Job Overview

The Provider Enrollment Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the organization's Legal Department by managing the enrollment and tracking of applications for Medicare, Medicaid, and private payers. This position also involves collaboration with the Licensing Department to facilitate the completion of facility licensure applications.



Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with various departments to gather necessary information for the preparation and submission of accurate provider applications and renewals.
  • Maintain a comprehensive tracking database for provider contracts, re-validations, re-credentialing, and enrollment applications, along with related correspondence.
  • Assist the Business Development Team in corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions.
  • Engage with federal and state agencies, government payers, and managed care organizations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and governmental regulations regarding confidential and protected health information.
  • Work alongside the Accounts Receivable department and operations to address billing concerns.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma; Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PDF conversion tools.
  • Experience in the healthcare or managed care sector is advantageous.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with individuals at all organizational levels and external parties, including government representatives.
  • Familiarity with government regulations and legal research.
  • Knowledge of Medicaid and Medicare programs.
  • A commitment to collaborative work within a dedicated Legal Department.
  • Ability to work independently while handling highly confidential information.
  • Consistent demonstration of accuracy, thoroughness, and timeliness in task completion.
