Position Overview

This role is responsible for supporting production by allocating material from inventory to lineside supermarkets and designated staging areas. The Material Coordinator will stage finished goods for pickup or put them away into storage, maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy and integrity within CompoSecure's facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Locate materials and supplies by verifying part identification numbers listed on work orders.
  • Monitor inventory levels and schedule items to meet production schedules.
  • Coordinate the transfer of raw materials and other parts between CompoSecure facilities.
  • Maintain in-process inventory in Kan Bans, Supermarkets, and work centers.
  • Conduct cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Provide ideas to refine established procedures to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency.
  • Responsible for monitoring inventory levels and evaluating transactions to resolve count discrepancies.
  • Analyze inventory variances.
  • Identify and escalate issues regarding the handling and storage of inventoried items.
  • Ensure full adherence to 5S practices.
Other Important Responsibilities
  • Timely corrective action response and resolution to relevant project situations.
  • Engage and support companywide Safety and Cleanliness programs.
  • Perform other job functions as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Education: Associate degree preferred, High School Education a must.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to self-check own work.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Task-oriented, excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize workload.
  • Enthusiastic attitude, cooperative team player, adaptable to new or changing circumstances, professional demeanor, sensitive to client needs, self-motivated, creative, and innovative.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • High level of computer literacy, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Outlook.
