Job Title: Principal / Sr. Principal Engineer Systems Test

Northrop Grumman is seeking a highly skilled Principal / Sr. Principal Engineer Systems Test to join our team in Roy, Utah. This role will support the Sentinel program and offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will join the Launch Support System test and deployment team and assist in system level verification testing and deployment activities. Responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing and participating in test and integration events at multiple deployed locations to include government oversight and insight test events.
  • Authoring and peer reviewing comprehensive and detailed test plans, procedures, and reports using various MBSE tools.
  • Overseeing and tracking progress in an agile-based work environment.
  • Interfacing with cross-functional internal and external teams/stakeholders, government agencies, and customers, and other parties critical to system integration and success.
  • Review and evaluate test requirements to ensure completeness of the test program.
  • Perform technical analysis of the system and prepare comprehensive system-level evaluations.
  • Participate in test readiness reviews and interface directly with various test planning teams to ensure all test objectives are being achieved.
  • Prepare system test reports, procedures, plans, and contract data requirement lists (CDRLs) for delivery to government customers.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree; 3 years with a Master's; 0 years with a PhD; 4 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience performing test events in a continuous integration environment.
  • Working knowledge using MBSE tools such as CAMEO and DOORS.
  • Experience in creation of test plans, procedures, CONOPS, and other related artifacts critical to system testing.
  • Ability to work and interface with customer representatives in a government oversight environment.

For the Sr. Principal Engineer Systems Test role, additional requirements include:

  • 8 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree; 6 years with a Master's; 3 years with a PhD; 4 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience leading test events, reviews, and reports in a continuous integration environment. Proficient in creation of test plans, procedures, CONOPS, and other related artifacts critical to system testing.
  • Working knowledge using MBSE tools such as CAMEO and DOORS.
  • Experience working and interfacing with customer representatives in a government oversight environment.

Required for both levels:

  • US Citizenship with an Active Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 6 years) with the ability to receive a Special Access Program (SAP) certification.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • US Citizenship with an Active Top-Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 6 years) with the ability to receive a Special Access Program (SAP) certification.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a STEM discipline from an ABET-accredited university.
  • Proficient in MBSE tools such as CAMEO and DOORS.
  • Experience with ICBM Weapon Systems, Missile/Rocket Systems, or DOD programs.
  • COMPTIA Security+ (plus) Certification.

Northrop Grumman offers a competitive salary range of $84,200 - $126,400, with a standard work schedule of a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company-paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
