Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Principal Software Test Engineer to lead our Launch Support System software testing and integration efforts. As a technical lead, you will be responsible for directing test and integration events, developing and creating SW/HW emulation environments, and authoring and peer reviewing comprehensive test plans and reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct test and integration events at multiple deployed locations, including government oversight and insight test events.
  • Develop and create SW/HW emulation environments to perform unit and system test events.
  • Author and peer review comprehensive and detailed test plans, procedures, and reports using various MBSE tools.
  • Oversee and track progress in an agile-based work environment.
  • Interface with cross-functional internal and external teams, stakeholders, government agencies, and customers to ensure system integration and success.
  • Review and evaluate test requirements to ensure completeness of the test program.
  • Perform technical analysis of the complete system and prepare comprehensive system-level evaluations.
  • Participate and lead test readiness reviews and interface directly with various test planning teams to ensure all test objectives are being achieved.
Requirements
  • 8 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree in Science; 6 years with a Master's degree; 4 years with a PhD. 4 years of relevant experience may be used in addition to formal degree.
  • Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time.
  • Knowledgeable in high assurance software, hardware/software interfaces, programming of embedded processors utilizing a Real-Time Operating System (RTOS), real-time and post-processing data analytics, object-oriented programming, and design patterns.
  • Proficient in hardware emulation/simulation development environments, coding/implementation of C++ and C# languages, experience with source code coverage tools, Real-Time Component Framework (RTCF), Atlassian Tool Suite, Agile methodologies, and automated testing.
  • Experience leading test events, reviews, and reports, creating test plans, procedures, CONOPS, and other related artifacts critical to system test and verification, and working with customer representatives in a government oversight environment.
  • Working knowledge of MBSE tools such as CAMEO and DOORS.
  • Ability to receive a Special Access Program (SAP) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a STEM discipline from an ABET-accredited university.
  • Proficient in MBSE tools such as CAMEO and DOORS.
  • Experience in agile environments leveraging Jira and Confluence.
  • Prior lead or management experience in a system test environment.
  • Active DoD Top Secret security clearance with investigation completed within the last 6 years.
  • Experience with Weapon Systems, Missile/Rocket Systems, or DOD programs.
  • COMPTIA Security+ (plus) Certification.

Northrop Grumman offers a competitive salary range of $104,400 - $156,600, as well as a variety of benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company-paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
