Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mission Assurance Engineer to join our team at Northrop Grumman. As a Mission Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the success of our programs through technical reviews, quality management, and risk assessment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform technical reviews of program drawings, contract, and requirements documents to ensure mission success.
  • Assess program performance and risks, and determine resources to ensure mission assurance.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain program quality plans.
  • Lead and facilitate program FRBs, ensuring identification of root cause and proper implementation of corrective actions.
  • Assist in the preparation of program management and program review packages.
  • Support customer corrective action requests.
  • Monitor timely closure of conditionally accepted hardware and work corrective actions with IPT MA & QEs.
  • Perform acceptance of functional and integrated test events.
Requirements
  • Principal Mission Assurance Engineer: Bachelor's Science Degree and 5 years of Test, Systems Engineering, or Quality experience, OR a Master's Degree and 3 years of experience, OR PhD Degree and 0 years of experience.
  • Senior Principal Mission Assurance Engineer: Bachelor's Science degree and 9 years of Test, Systems Engineering, or Quality experience, OR a Master's Degree and 7 years of experience, OR PhD Degree and 4 years of experience.
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (AS9100/ISO 9001).
  • Experience with Mission Assurance Engineering and Quality Engineering practices.
  • Experience in Aerospace/Missile Systems/Sub-Systems design, development, test, or sustainment.
  • U.S. citizen with an Active DoD Secret Security Clearance with the ability to obtain a Special Access Program Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Understanding of Model Based Systems Engineering concepts.
  • Experience with manufacturing and test labs quality assurance processes.
  • Experience with Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA) and Material Review Board (MRB).
  • Experience quality management systems to support program processes, audits, and improvement.
  • Experience in process monitoring, data collection, analysis, and metrics reporting for overall program and segments.
  • Experience with program PCAB and driving process improvements.
  • An Active DoD Top Secret clearance.

Work Schedule

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
