Job Description:
As an Electronics Assembly Specialist at L3Harris, you will be responsible for the assembly of electrical-mechanical assemblies. This role requires skilled support and the ability to work under limited supervision once initial product training has been provided. Key responsibilities include managing individual programs from the time parts are issued to completion of all Assembly operations, communicating work status and issues to the Supervisor in English, and following detailed instructions provided on a computer.

Essential Functions:
  • Performs a variety of mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly operations on mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies, or end products in a repetitive nature
  • Follows an assembly process as provided from computer-based instructions, but may require the ability to adjust, fit, or align parts
  • Uses hand tools such as long nose pliers, screwdrivers, soldering irons, and wrenches
  • Maintains consistent quality and productivity levels
  • Identifies problems and contributes to process improvements
  • Performs hand soldering on electronic assemblies for through-hole components and all types of cables (i.e. wire, semi-ridge & coax)
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • Ability to communicate work status and issues to Supervisor in English

Qualifications:

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.


Preferred Additional Skills:
Strong mechanical background.

Able to solder surface-mounted components (SMT).

Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings and Bills of Material.

J-STD-001 certification.

Uses Microsoft Office programs.

This role is not limited to the tasks mentioned above and other duties may be assigned as needed. In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $44,000 - $57,400. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
