Position Overview:

A leading organization is in search of a dedicated Procurement Specialist to enhance their operational team. This role necessitates a blend of onsite and remote work, fostering a collaborative environment.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Generate and manage purchase orders while cultivating supplier relationships.
  • Source and evaluate new suppliers to ensure a robust supply chain.
  • Oversee the timely receipt of materials and documentation, addressing any discrepancies that arise.
  • Collaborate with global procurement teams to streamline processes.
  • Conduct raw material planning and maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Manage item masters and Bill of Materials (BOMs) to support new product initiatives.
  • Analyze and mitigate excess or obsolete inventory issues.
  • Ensure compliance with quality system components and lead investigations for problem resolution.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences, supply chain management, or business, or equivalent experience.
  • 2-4 years of experience in production planning, inventory control, and purchasing.
  • A minimum of 2 years in the pharmaceutical sector.
  • 1 year of experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.
  • APICS certification is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.

Compensation:

The position offers competitive hourly compensation, along with potential pathways to full-time employment following the contract period.
