Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated Functional Safety Manager to oversee the hardware and software teams involved in developing products for various transportation sectors. This role will focus on ensuring compliance with ISO 26262 standards for both North American and European markets.
The successful candidate will collaborate with international teams across multiple regions and work closely with external partners to drive safety initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that new product development adheres to ISO 26262 functional safety standards.
- Engage with clients early in the project lifecycle to identify safety requirements and manage the safety development process.
- Foster a culture of safety within development teams to achieve successful ISO 26262 implementation.
- Design and execute testing methodologies to validate safety compliance.
- Influence the design of software and hardware architectures to meet safety standards.
- Lead engineering efforts in accordance with ISO 26262 from initial concept through to validation.
- Assist clients during ISO 26262 hardware and software audits.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in hardware and software safety compliance.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Proactive, ambitious, and results-driven mindset.
- Strong customer focus.
- Thorough understanding of ISO 26262 and related process standards.
- Experience in establishing processes for quality and safety in mission-critical applications.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and networking skills.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Preferred: Experience in embedded software development (C).
