Job Summary:

DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE, STRATEGIC INITIATIVES AND MARKET INSIGHTS, Vice President for Resource Development, is an integral member of the Development Planning and Initiatives (DPI) team.

As a key member of the DPI team, you will play an active role in the development and management of fundraising strategy plans and priorities, serving as a lead project manager for the department and interfacing with a wide variety of colleagues across Resource Development (RD), faculty, and staff from across the Institute.

You will have a direct and meaningful impact on the successful achievement of goals associated with the Institute's highest fundraising priorities and endeavors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage fundraising strategy plans and priorities
  • Serve as a lead project manager for the department
  • Interface with colleagues across Resource Development (RD), faculty, and staff
  • Contribute to the successful achievement of goals associated with the Institute's highest fundraising priorities and endeavors

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of two years of relevant work experience
  • Robust initiative and excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a team
  • Ability to perform with accuracy, high quality, and attention to detail
  • Experience managing complex projects and multi-stakeholder business processes
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with others of diverse background and skills
  • Ability to work with confidential information with discretion
  • Demonstrated computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with Outlook, Zoom, Trello, Slack, or similar tools
  • Data management, query, and retrieval with relational databases
  • Ability to become proficient in new technologies and systems as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in an educational setting and knowledge of nonprofit sector philanthropy, fundraising, prospect development, or volunteer management practices
  • Demonstrated experience with project, timeline, and process management

This is a hybrid position with a combination of on-campus and remote work.
