The Guest Services Coordinator plays a vital role in welcoming and registering guests, ensuring exceptional service throughout their stay, and finalizing guest accounts upon departure. Key responsibilities encompass: welcoming guests, managing and adjusting reservations, and performing hotel operator and concierge functions. The ideal candidate will provide attentive, courteous, and efficient service to all guests before and during their stay, while optimizing room revenue and occupancy rates.

Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent is mandatory; coursework in a related field is advantageous.
- Prior experience in hospitality or a similar environment is preferred.
- Exhibit a positive and enthusiastic demeanor with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain attention to detail, and resolve issues effectively with both internal and external customers.
- Strong communication skills to convey information and ideas clearly.
- Quickly and accurately assess and choose among various options.
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure situations.
- Proficient in problem-solving, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and addressing issues as they arise.
- Effective listening skills to understand and clarify concerns raised by guests and colleagues.
- Comfortable working with financial data and performing basic arithmetic operations.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions and correspondence.
- Logical reasoning skills to define problems, gather information, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Understanding of hotel products and guest services.
- Contribute to creating a positive work environment.
Core Duties:
- Approach all interactions with guests and team members in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including proper uniform and name tag.
- Ensure regular attendance in line with company standards, adapting to the hotel’s scheduling needs.
- Adhere to company policies and regulations to promote safe and efficient hotel operations.
- Greet and welcome all guests at the Front Desk, maintaining a warm and friendly demeanor.
- Oversee the proper functioning of the telephone switchboard, meeting performance standards.
- Efficiently handle requests for information, mail, and messages.
- Respond to guest inquiries regarding hotel services, facilities, and operational hours.
- Provide information about local attractions, dining options, and entertainment.
- Foster effective communication and teamwork with fellow associates and other hotel departments.
- Stay informed about rates, packages, and special promotions; be aware of in-house groups and restricted dates.
- Gather necessary information for room reservations and follow established rate quoting procedures.
- Be knowledgeable about company policies and hospitality terminology.
- Assist in emergency procedures as required.
- Facilitate check-ins and check-outs in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Fully understand and operate all relevant aspects of the Front Desk computer system.
- Ensure timely logging and delivery of packages, mail, and messages to guests and meeting rooms.
- Utilize proper radio etiquette when communicating with team members.
- Deliver guest items such as luggage, newspapers, and amenities as requested.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hotel amenities, special events, and local attractions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, which may include assisting coworkers in other areas and maintaining cleanliness and safety throughout the hotel.
