Job Summary:

The Marketing Account Executive - Commercial Insurance will lead and coordinate marketing and service activities on new and renewal business, as well as support the Producer in sales activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a consultative point of contact for clients, identifying and understanding client needs and providing recommendations with supporting rationale.
  • Assist the Producer in sales efforts, including responding to Requests for Proposals and participating in prospect meetings.
  • Build and maintain key client and carrier relationships by phone, email, and in person.
  • Grow a working knowledge of the current marketplace and capabilities of providing alternatives for the transfer of risk.
  • Coordinate and work closely with local and national leadership to drive LOB strategy and initiatives.
  • Demonstrate strong skills at negotiating pricing and policy conditions and terms with selected carriers.
  • Provide analyses and recommendations of coverage needs to the Producer and client.
  • Lead the renewal process and prepare company applications and submissions to appropriate markets.
  • Assist the Producer in presenting coverage and renewal recommendations to the client.
  • Assist assigned clients and teammates with service questions related to administration, billing, claims issues, and problem solving.
  • Work with Account Manager to schedule and conduct teammate meetings.
  • Ensure service team procedures are appropriate and followed.
  • Attend seminars, classes, and carrier meetings to keep abreast of new products available for clients.
  • Lead, mentor, and train other account service teammates.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and/or related experience.
  • Six years of relevant insurance industry experience.
  • Appropriate insurance license.
  • Considerable knowledge of markets, policies, and coverage issues for all states and industries serviced.
  • Organizational skills to plan and prioritize team workload.
  • Leadership skills and service and team orientation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong persuasion skills and tact.
  • Discretion and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications.

Ability to Travel:

Significant experience leading teams and/or projects.
