We are seeking a seasoned Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) professional to join our team at Yokohama Tire Corporation. As the EHS Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures across our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement EHS programs and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Lead the Joint Safety Committee to facilitate collaboration between the Company and the Union on safety/health initiatives and concerns.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and walkthroughs of the facility to identify hazards and non-compliance issues.
  • Review and update all safety documentation, including Safety Data Sheets, emergency response plans, and training documents.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for employees on topics such as fire safety, first aid, and equipment use.
  • Manage EHS team members and provide leadership that aligns with our core values.
  • Interact effectively with employees at all levels and build relationships with outside regulatory agencies, consultants, and vendors.
  • Analyze EHS data to inform decision-making and drive improvement in EHS Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Oversee plant security systems and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all Corporate EHS processes and requirements.

Requirements:

  • Expertise in the EHS industry with a desire to be a resource to others in this area.
  • Extensive experience in EHS management, demonstrating a clear progression in responsibilities and a proven ability to meet and exceed goals.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Health, Occupational Health and Safety, or another related field.
  • Experience as an Environmental Management Representative for on-site ISO 14001.
  • The ability to lead a team and empower them to grow individually and as a group.
  • A strong understanding of environmental impact assessments, waste management, and sustainability practices.
  • Extensive knowledge of, and experience with, federal, state, and local EHS laws and regulations, including OSHA, ANSI, NIOSH, EPA, and DEQ.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to write clear, concise reports and deliver employee training.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment and/or with an employee Union.
