Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our team at Marshall & Sterling Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for our computer networks, servers, and software applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to technical inquiries and requests for assistance via phone and email
  • Document technical service requests and prioritize responses according to standards and time of request
  • Provide support for PC's, servers, and network, including configuration, installations, and troubleshooting
  • Perform regular maintenance on PC's and upgrade software
  • Manage network wiring and equipment, including switches and firewalls
  • Participate in continuing education programs to stay up-to-date with industry developments
  • Build and maintain a positive working relationship with colleagues and staff
  • Adhere to established employee manual policies and guidelines
Requirements
  • College degree preferred, high school diploma or equivalent required
  • Proficiency in internet and email applications
  • Minimum of one year professional experience in technology or help desk function, Microsoft certification and/or A+ certification preferred
  • Demonstrated networking skills (TCP/IP, routers, switches, hubs)
  • Experience supporting Windows server platforms, including terminal services, Exchange, and Citrix
  • Experience supporting VOIP systems and functions
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs
  • Experience with Vertafore a plus
  • Flexibility to work weekend and evening hours as required
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
