Marshall & Sterling Inc is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Network Support Specialist to join our team. As a Network Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support for our network infrastructure, hardware, and software systems.
Key Responsibilities
- **Hardware Support**: Provide technical support for PCs, servers, printers, and networking equipment. This includes configuration, installation, and troubleshooting hardware components.
- **Moves, Adds, Changes**: Assist in the installation, configuration, and setup of new hardware components, including PCs, phones, and network connections.
- **Senior Technician Support**: Support senior technicians in the installation, configuration, and setup of hardware components.
- **User Support**: Provide technical support to users regarding network/hardware-related issues, offering timely assistance and solutions.
- **Inventory Management**: Assist in maintaining accurate records of inventory, installation procedures, and configurations.
- **Training and Development**: Actively engage in learning about hardware systems, installation techniques, and troubleshooting methods through on-the-job training and guidance from senior team members.
- **Project Support**: Assist senior engineers in various network projects, such as upgrades, expansions, or implementations, by following instructions and completing assigned tasks.
- **Administrative Support**: Perform other administrative tasks as assigned, including replacing printer toner and safely disposing of empty cartridges.
Requirements
- **Education**: College degree preferred, high school diploma or equivalent required.
- **Technical Skills**: Understanding of basic hardware components and their functions, basic PC/Networking skills, and experience with Microsoft Office programs.
- **Physical Demands**: Capable of lifting and moving equipment, working in various physical environments, and complying with safety protocols.
- **Soft Skills**: Strong attention to detail, willingness to follow instructions accurately, flexibility, and ability to work weekend and evening hours as required.
- **Communication Skills**: Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work well with others, including superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the company.
- **Certifications**: Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
