Position Overview:

In the realm of cloud computing, many strive to leverage its full potential, yet few possess the expertise to do so effectively. As a seasoned cloud computing application architect, you will craft a cloud-centric technical framework tailored to meet diverse client requirements while harnessing the extensive capabilities of cloud technology. Imagine utilizing your cloud architecture acumen to enhance the intelligence community (IC). Your role will be pivotal in devising cloud-based solutions to tackle some of the most pressing challenges faced by clients.

Your development background will be instrumental in optimizing our software development lifecycle, from initial development through to production, by utilizing cutting-edge cloud-native managed services. This position offers a unique opportunity to engage with the latest cloud technologies as you seek innovative ways to enhance client environments through current cloud functionalities. Your technical proficiency will be crucial in shaping strategy and design, ensuring compliance with standards throughout the cloud migration journey. You will recommend tools and solutions based on thorough research of the existing environment and your understanding of various on-premise, cloud-based, and hybrid resources. Leading your team, you will assist clients in overcoming their most significant cloud-related challenges. Additionally, you will expand your expertise in areas such as containerization and development while contributing to critical systems within the security sector.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in cloud development.
  • Proficient in designing, developing, deploying, or testing within Amazon Web Services, utilizing tools such as EC2, S3, ELBs, RDS, VPCs, security groups, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, or IAM permissions.
  • Experience with microservices and containerization, including orchestration and cluster management, as well as container storage technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, or Rancher.
  • Skilled in deploying, configuring, and maintaining Linux server systems in cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages.
  • Possession of an active TS/SCI clearance and willingness to undergo a polygraph examination.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Capability to obtain Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification within six months of starting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in developing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with serverless architectures, including Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, and SAM.
  • Knowledge of securing and hardening operating systems, applications, and containers.
  • Experience in application management, ensuring high availability and resilient solutions through methods such as clustering or failover.
  • Proficiency in application performance analysis and monitoring tools, including ELK, Prometheus, and Grafana.
  • Experience with Agile release methodologies.
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Developer Certification.

Clearance Requirements:

Selected applicants will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is mandatory.
