Position Summary: The Senior Propulsion Engineer will play a crucial role in the design, development, and testing of propulsion systems. This position is integral to our mission of reducing the cost of access to space and facilitating human habitation beyond Earth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of valve components and fluid control systems for rocket engines.
  • Oversee the testing of components, ensuring compliance with rigorous design standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify optimal solutions for propulsion challenges.
  • Mentor junior engineers, sharing expertise in fluid control system development.
  • Work closely with suppliers to define requirements and manage the development of critical components.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline such as aerospace, mechanical, or chemical engineering.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant engineering experience, particularly with valves and fluid control systems.
  • Strong foundational knowledge in propulsion, fluid mechanics, and thermodynamics.
  • Proficient in computer-aided design (CAD) and familiar with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Ability to foster positive professional relationships and contribute to an inclusive workplace culture.
  • U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in engineering.
  • Experience with cryogenic fluids and high-pressure systems.
  • Familiarity with Creo (Pro/E) and Windchill software.
