Job Overview

We are seeking a qualified Mechanical Engineer with expertise in marine propulsion systems. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in the analysis and development of advanced propulsion technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze various propulsion systems and lead the creation of comprehensive technical documentation.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations regarding ship configurations.
  • Possess a strong understanding of ABS, NVR, and relevant commercial ship design regulations.

Security Clearance:

  • Must be eligible for a CAC card and obtain necessary security clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship is mandatory.

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Technical, or Marine disciplines from an ABET accredited institution.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • A minimum of 3 years of documented experience in developing ship propulsion and control systems, including machinery arrangements and weight assessments.
  • 3 years of relevant experience, including specialized field experience related to federal ship or boat building acquisition programs is preferred. Familiarity with DoD ACAT I or DHS Level I shipbuilding programs is also advantageous.
