Position Overview:

The Financial Analyst and Accountant collaborates closely with the VP Controller and various business units to develop and deliver insightful financial analytics that support essential business strategies and decision-making processes. This role is crucial in ensuring adherence to finance-related policies, procedures, controls, and regulations, including tax compliance and financial reporting. The Financial Analyst and Accountant is tasked with providing strategic financial insights to the executive leadership, influencing business outcomes with data-driven financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute financial management functions, including generating financial reports, analyzing trends, and evaluating departmental performance against established plans and forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with both direct and indirect Federal and State tax reporting requirements.
  • Assist in the formulation, implementation, and testing of accounting policies and SOX controls.
  • Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations while monitoring compliance with accounting policies and financial reporting standards.
  • Conduct research on technical accounting issues in collaboration with the VP Controller.
  • Drive and support initiatives aimed at enhancing organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop and manage project plans and budgets, tracking actual expenditures to ensure alignment with strategic business objectives based on comprehensive financial analysis.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Finance and Accounting or a related field is essential, preferably within the medical devices or medical technology sectors.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is required.
  • Advanced degrees or certifications such as a Master's/MBA, CPA, or CMA are highly regarded.
  • Familiarity with FDA regulations is advantageous.
  • Experience in rapidly growing organizations or start-ups is preferred.
  • Proficiency in valuation and financial analysis is desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills to utilize detailed financial analyses and high-level pattern recognition to enhance performance are necessary.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional environment and gain support across all organizational levels is required.
  • Capability to develop analytics that facilitate rapid, data-driven decision-making, even with incomplete information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly advanced Excel skills (e.g., Pivot Tables, Formulas, XLOOKUP functions) and Power BI is essential.
  • Eligibility to work in the USA is mandatory.
