We are seeking a qualified and licensed clinical counseling professional to join our team as a Correctional Program Coordinator - Substance Use Counselor. This role will involve providing alcohol and drug group counseling and other ancillary services to participants in our substance use recovery programs.

The ideal candidate will have current certification or credentials in one of the following areas: Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor II (LCDC II), Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor III (LCDC III), Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor (LICDC), or Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) by State of Ohio Counselor & Social Worker Board.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Providing alcohol and drug group counseling and other ancillary services to participants in our substance use recovery programs
  • Completing assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge planning with participants
  • Engaging and offering clients referral to Medication-Assisted Treatment, Narcan, and Community Linkage to foster and strengthen recovery
  • Monitoring and evaluating progress of participants in the substance use programs
  • Providing continuing care planning

The selected applicant will be required to complete the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation & Correction's Correctional Training Academy located in Orient, OH. This training is approximately 4 weeks in length.
