Mental Health Specialist for HIV/ID Program

Overview
Dartmouth Health's Department of Psychiatry seeks to hire a mental health provider to join the embedded care mental health team in the HIV program within the section of Infectious Disease at Dartmouth Health.
The ideal candidate will share the values of collaboration, advocacy, education, and trauma-informed care. Prior experience working with people with chronic illness, marginalization, trauma, and/or substance use disorders is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide psychosocial assessments and counseling of patients and families in the care of the HIV program, as well as patients living with HCV and taking PrEP.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and provide treatment for patients within areas including but not limited to anxiety disorders, mood disorders, substance use disorders, eating disorders; refer out if patients are outside scope of practice.
- Be available for consultation and support during clinic hours at identified clinics.
- Collaborate effectively with team members when appropriate.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in social work or a related field from an accredited institution of higher education, including an internship meeting professional standards.
- Must be able to demonstrate that he or she has provided psychological services, on an inpatient, outpatient, or consultative basis in the past 12 months.
Required Licensure/Certifications
- Licensed at the time of hire as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) or a related license in New Hampshire-
