Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate activities of food-service employees to ensure efficient meal service and high-quality customer experience.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by providing one-on-one attention to detail and responding to customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Oversee and participate in the preparation and service of food and beverages, ensuring compliance with company standards for presentation, sanitation, safety, and portion control.
  • Help plan menus and ensure timely and efficient meal service.
  • Train employees and assign and coordinate work to promote efficiency and excellence in food and service.
  • Determine work procedures, prepare work schedules, and expedite work flow.
  • Use proper systems for completion of required daily/weekly/monthly reports, including inventory-cash reports, production records, payroll, and time-keeping.
  • Responsible for proper cash handling, as established by the Food Accounting Manual.
  • Order food and other necessary supplies from approved sources or purveyors.
  • Direct and participate in the overall sanitation and safety of the facility and employees, in accordance with company standards and government regulations.
  • Develop sanitation schedules and ensure food-service employees adhere to the schedule for cleaning of kitchen and dining area and washing of kitchen utensils and equipment.
  • Issue written and oral instructions and help select and orient employees.
