The Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh (HACP) is a municipal corporation formed under the United States Housing Act of 1937, charged with providing decent, affordable housing for low-income persons.

We currently house more than 18,000 Pittsburghers, manage over 2,200 public housing units, and provide oversight of an additional 600+ mixed-finance units. Our facilities are conveniently located throughout Pittsburgh, with public and senior housing communities located in each region of the city.

Our purpose is to develop and make affordable, safe housing available and help families achieve independence.

The estimated salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. Our organization offers a competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401(k) retirement plan matching.

We are seeking a highly skilled Public Housing Administrator to join our team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising portability representatives to ensure efficient processing of Section 8 participants' files exercising the port option.
  • Executing new hire onboarding for housing specialists and other department staff, ensuring they have the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their duties effectively.
  • Developing and revising training materials to educate staff on HCV program processes and procedures.
  • Providing compliance support to ensure accurate and timely completion of HCV program files.

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field and a minimum of 3 years of administrative experience in public housing or real estate management. Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook, are also essential.
