Fish and Wildlife Recruitment Specialist

This position requires a positive, motivated, and attention-to-detail individual to join our Classification and Recruitment team. You will make an impact by supporting hiring supervisors recruit for critical positions in support of managing California's diverse fish, wildlife, and plant resources, and the habitats upon which they depend, for their ecological values and for their use and enjoyment by the public.
This role involves learning and retaining information necessary to provide recruitment consultations to hiring supervisors and employees, reviewing and approving Human Resources recruitment transactions, and assisting with developing recruitment plans. We will provide the necessary training to ensure you are successful and have the opportunity to grow within CDFW and state service.
This position is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule for applicants residing in California. The hybrid schedule is dependent on operational needs but is currently a minimum of two days in the office.
We are located in the new state-of-the-art Natural Resources Building in downtown Sacramento, right next to Light Rail for an easy commute. Working Conditions
This position works in a high-rise building when in-office and involves working on a computer/the ability to use a computer keyboard several hours a day. Attendance at virtual and in-person meetings and working groups as necessary is required. This position is eligible for telework consistent with CDFW's current telework policy.
