Job Description and Duties

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Staff Services Manager to join our team at the Department of Fish and Wildlife. As a key member of our Personnel Management Branch, you will play a critical role in overseeing Classification and Recruitment Analysts and collaborating with various units to develop effective policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee Classification and Recruitment Analysts and provide guidance on recruitment and hiring processes.
  • Develop and refine internal and departmental policies and procedures to ensure effective personnel management.
  • Collaborate with the Exam, Talent Acquisition, and Budget Units to serve as a subject matter expert on personnel-related items.
  • Work closely with supervisors and managers to provide support and guidance on recruitment and hiring processes.
Working Conditions:

This position primarily works from an office or home office and involves sitting at a computer. However, opportunities to visit Wildlife Lands and personally observe the work done by CDFW are available.
